Here we honor what you already know in your heart
Welcome to the page lovingly created to honor the innate wisdom of infant sleep.
Your baby's natural rhythms can coexist with caring for your own well-being.
About me
My name is Miona Boricic. I am the mother of a two-year-old girl, a lawyer by training, and a specialist in infant sleep and the neuroscience of attachment.
My work is based on developmental neuroscience, the physiology of infant sleep, and a deep understanding of the nervous system of both babies and their caregivers. I trained as a Nurture Neuroscience Practitioner under the tutelage of Dr. Rocío Zunini and Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum, international leaders in this field, integrating current scientific evidence with a responsive, respectful and relational approach.
I understand sleep as a biological, physiological, and relational process, inseparable from temperament, developmental stage, and family context.
I do not work with CIO or behavioral training. I do not believe in or recommend ''gentle sleep training''.
I work to ensure that families have access to information based on neuroscience and development, so they can make conscious decisions aligned with their values: not from cultural pressure or extreme exhaustion. In a society that values early independence, normalizing what is biologically expected (waking up, need for contact, seeking security...) is an act of care and also of prevention. Rest matters, yes. But how we approach it matters too.
I firmly believe that when we support sleep with understanding, rather than correction, we protect the long-term emotional health of children and their caregivers.
I am currently the professional in charge of infant sleep support, working in collaboration with midwifery associations and maternal and child health professionals.
In addition to individual consultations, I organize women's circles, and mothers and babies' circles (both online and in person).
My Philosophy
I firmly believe that children's sleep cannot be trained, fixed, or taught: it must be supported and understood.
My work is based on the science of early development, but also on something equally powerful: the authentic connection between the parent and the child.
I support families from an integrative perspective because sleep does not occur in isolation: it is linked to health, the environment, early experiences, and the nervous system states of the entire family.
My commitment is to offer evidence-based information, free of dogma, so you can make decisions aligned with what you know, what you feel, and what your baby truly needs.
My Approach
I approach children's sleep from a place of deep respect for biology, the bond, and the inner wisdom of each family. My perspective is based on up-to-date science, yes, but also on something equally valuable: the connection, intuition, and knowledge that each mother has about her baby.
I believe that sleep isn't something to be "fixed"; it's to be accompanied and understood. And when we understand how neurological development works, how the nervous system is regulated, and what a baby really needs in the first years of life, many things begin to make sense.
I explore all the layers with you: possible medical aspects, the sleep environment, family dynamics, birth history, the emotional state of those providing care... Because none of this happens in a vacuum.
My approach has been deeply guided by my two mentors whom I deeply admire: Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum and Dr. Rocío Zunini, both neuroscientists and advocates for sensitive caregiving and deep respect for early childhood. Her work has been key to integrating neuroscience with a compassionate perspective, based on the bond and real-life development of babies.
My intention is for you to leave each encounter with less fear and guilt, and more clarity and confidence.
